Andre Goguen is a graphic designer based in Shediac Bridge, New Brunswick, near Moncton. He is fluently bilingual in french and english, is an huge board game enthusiast, plays bass guitar, and is a husband and father.
André graduated from the Graphic Design program at the Collège communautaire du Nouveau-Brunswick — Dieppe in 1995. He did his internship at Corporate Communications Limited and was immediately hired as a junior graphic designer. During his 6 years there, he honed his craft in not only design, but in advertising and copywriting.
In 2001, André moved on to Hudson Design Group as an Art Director. He continued his design and advertising work and also learned video editing to create TV spots. It was here that his first award-winning projects were created.
It is during this time that André became involved with the independent film scene in the region as a film editor. His first edited short, Délivrance, won him an award for best film editing at the Silver Wave Film Festival.
In 2009, André left the advertising design world to work for the recruitment office of the Université de Moncton, the largest Canadian french-language university outside of Québec. Here André uses his skills and knowledge to show potential students the benefits of continuing their studies in French.
In 2015, André edited his first feature-lengh film, Owl River Runners, which was featured in many film festivals, including the Atlantic Film Festival in Halifax.
